WHATIDONEWAS is a story about knitting and sharing.
In Newfoundland we might say “What I done was…” in order to explain or how-to. It’s a superfluous way to tell a story, adding unnecessary words in the fashion of dialect. Many would consider it incorrect grammar. But I like to say that if you can comprehend then there’s no need to correct! It’s dialect, not incorrect.
These knitted items & patterns are meant to surprise you & remind you of things you’ve seen before. They are made with joy & challenge. They are created through laughter & listening.
Here you will find pieces that go a little extra – just for a laugh.
